Created in 1994 and operated by the San Bernardino Mountains Wildlife Society, Wildhaven is a not-for-profit organization consisting of a wildlife sanctuary, an education and visitation center for endangered and indigenous wild animals for the San Bernardino Mountains, and a wildlife rehabilitation center known as the “Forever Free Wildlife Care Center.”
Wildhaven moved to its current 35 acre ranch in the community of Cedar Glen in 2000. Along with much of the Cedar Glen community, Wildhaven Ranch was devastated by the horrific “Old Fire” of 2003. But thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, as well as the efforts of community and government leaders, Wildhaven is now fully functional with plans to expand and enhance its current facility.

Wildhaven’s main objectives are:

To preserve the wildlife indigenous to the San Bernardino Mountains.
To leave a valuable heritage to our future generations.

At Wildhaven Ranch, our main goal is to provide a
protective environment where wild animals can be
nurtured, rehabilitated and restored, and then
released back into the wild.

Wildhaven Ranch also includes a Center for Learning
where community residents, visitors, groups and
particularly children can gain a better understanding
of our wild places and wild creatures. Our staff at
Wildhaven is particularly intent on educating young
children so that the next generation develops a healthier
relationship with the magnificent creatures who share
our world.

For those animals that cannot be sufficiently
rehabilitated, Wildhaven provides a sanctuary where
they can live a safe and fulfilling life. These animals,
which are licensed to us by government agencies, are
often used as a resource in our educational programs
and provide our visitors with the opportunity to observe
native species in their mountain surroundings.

Our Mission
From its inception, the mission of the Wildhaven Ranch has been to serve as stewards of God’s creation through the rescue, protection and preservation of the earth’s wild creatures. In so doing, Wildhaven hopes to bring further fulfillment to mankind by allowing us to experience part of the relationship that God had in mind between man and animal.
